Residential construction

Marina Island

Prague, Czech Republic / 11.2014 - 04.2018

The Prague Marina IIa - Marina Island residential complex consists of five high-rise buildings. These were constructed on a shared basement floor, executed in a "white tank" construction in a skeleton framework, with external walls and staircase walls made from in-situ concrete. Owing to the site's location on the Vltava, the evaluation of the hydrostatic uplift strength was a very important planning factor. The high water lines indicated that active flooding up to the roof level of the second basement floor had to be factored in. Even in this situation, the structural stability of the building is guaranteed. A water collector near the ship lift was constructed alongside the residential project and connected to the high water control system of the Prague district of Holešovice.

Marina Island s.r.o.

Modern living on the Vltava.

The residential complex offers three residential categories: comfortable apartments in the standard floors, townhouse apartments reminiscent of living in a family villa, and luxurious penthouses. All the apartments are finished to the highest quality standards, and the room ceiling heights range from 2.8m to 5.5m. The apartments are equipped with designer bathrooms and spacious terraces, and some also offer the possibility of a built-in swimming pool. Private underground parking provides direct access to the townhouse apartments.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
