Chalet village Bergwiesenglück

Goidinger Bau recently constructed twelve luxury chalets and a large apartment building, together with an inn containing two luxury suites, a brewery and an infinity pool, in See in the Paznaun Valley. Winter conditions on the year-round construction site, combined with the steep slope of the site and limited space, presented challenges even for experienced construction professionals.

Extensive slope stabilisation works were necessary, and six of the buildings required additional deep foundations with bored piles. The poor soil conditions meant that the soil had to be replaced to a depth of up to 2m on parts of the site. Diversion of the slope water - predominately meltwater in the spring and summer - represented a particular challenge. In September 2017, all the project participants celebrated the completion of the chalet village with a grand opening ceremony.
What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
