St. Pölten main station, construction lot 1

St. Pölten, Austria / 03.2007 - 12.2010

PORR took over in consortium all earth, concrete and bridging works for the reconstruction of the St. Pölten main station. In the process, the 60 m long pedestrian tunnel- east with three platform accesses, 7 platforms, the 380 m long north side cantilever wall 2, a station passage and the 76 m long Schöpferstraße underpass were newly erected in the station area. The existing pedestrian passage was adapted and the 92 m long Praterstraße underpass removed and rebuilt. In addition, the contract also contained various hydraulic structures such as retention chambers and retaining reservoirs.
