Renovation of the Flora tram line intersection

Prague, Czech Republic / 06.2012 - 10.2012

The tram line intersection and tram stops on Vinohradská and Jičínská Streets in the Prague 3 municipal district were comprehensively renewed within the framework of this project. This also involved highly complex technical tasks, such as the construction of new electronic traffic controls and new heated switch points. In addition, the contract included the laying of cable conduit, communication cables and contact lines. New traffic lights were installed and road markings renewed.

Good renovation all round.

Along with these construction measures, grooved tramway rails and switch points were installed in the concrete slab. The surface layer of the tram line comprises a total of 912 L-shaped pre-fabricated parts, each weighing 0.5t, and the pavement was realised using paving stones and melted asphalt. The asphalt concrete base layer measures between 40 and 60mm thick.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
