Sustainable technology and business park with a future
Panattoni Park Graz Süd
Wagna, Austria / 06.2023 - 08.2024
PORR Bau GmbH, Premstätten branch (HB02), worked together with HT Generalunternehmer & Industriebau in a joint venture to build Panattoni Park Graz Süd. The modern technology and business park in the south of Graz covers a total area of over 55,000 m², spread over three halls, and offers flexible space for companies in the manufacturing, commercial, and logistics sectors. In addition to the halls, a fire water tank, a heating plant, and extensive outdoor facilities were built. The site thus meets high standards in terms of functionality, infrastructure, and long-term usability.

Holistic green building concept
Sustainability and resource conservation characterize the entire project. A photovoltaic system on the roof surfaces generates environmentally friendly electricity, while the remaining roof areas are greened, thus contributing to the improvement of the microclimate. Heating is provided by an efficient biomass heating system that does not use fossil fuels. In addition, an e-charging infrastructure has been integrated to promote sustainable mobility. Measures such as an insect hotel and a flower meadow specifically support biodiversity and underline the ecological aspirations of the project. The holistic green building concept contributes significantly to reducing the ecological footprint and ensuring the long-term value retention of the property.
Excellent construction with a focus on sustainability
The quality and sustainability of Panattoni Park Graz South have also been confirmed externally. ÖGNI – the Austrian Sustainable Building Council – assesses buildings based on ecological, economic, sociocultural, and functional criteria. Panattoni Park Graz Süd impressed in these areas and was nominated for ÖGNI Gold certification. With this project, PORR is demonstrating its comprehensive expertise in sustainable industrial and commercial construction and sending a strong signal for future-oriented location development in Styria.
