The Frauenfeld military training area is one of the most important military training areas in the Armed Forces. The Auenfeld barracks on the Frauenfeld military training area will be completely renovated and expanded in several stages. PORR is planning and realizing eight new buildings and the surrounding outdoor facilities. PORR's construction process is divided into three construction fields.

West Construction Site.
- An engineering, testing, and training building (AK/FU SKS)
- Three training halls (AD, AF, AG)
- A FATRAN building for driver training (FA)
Southwest Construction Site.
- A re-stocking building for the handling of operational and training materials on the barracks grounds (RV)
- A maintenance yard for the operation and upkeep of the barracks (WH)
With regard to the energy standard to be achieved, the Minergie specifications will be implemented for the AK, FA, WH, and RV buildings.
