Ogrody Elbląg

Elbląg, Poland / 06.2013 - 03.2015

Comprehensive construction work on the modernisation and extension of the Ogrody Elbląg (“Elbląg Gardens”) shopping centre started in June 2013. A mere two years later, the completely renewed facility could be handed over to the clients. In its function as a general contractor, Polish PORR S.A. was responsible for the 40-Million-Euro project’s timely implementation.

Construction work first included the modernisation of the shopping centre which had been built in 2002. A range of newly constructed buildings as well as a 3-storey car park for some 1,000 cars replacing the formerly open-air parking area were added to the project.

Modern shopping in Elbląg

Following its modernisation and extension, Ogrody Elbląg is the largest and most modern shopping centre in the region, featuring some 40,000m² of floor space. Two storeys house a shopping arcade with more than 130 shops and a large supermarket. The entertainment offerings for visitors were updated, too – among others, with a new cinema complex.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
