In the course of this project under contract to SBB AG, PORR completed the spectacular replacement of a 100-year-old underpass with a new construction.

600 tonnes shifted.

All bridge elements were prefabricated next to the platform. The foundations had to be reinforced and adapted prior to assembly. A total shutdown was instituted one weekend, during which the old structure was removed, the new 600-tonne bridge inserted, and the railway embankment built up again. After the new installation of the platforms, a temporary road surface was completed in time for Monday morning.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
