New hotel development in the Lehrter Stadtquartier

339 rooms and 26 suites

The hotel has a total of 339 rooms, including 26 suites. The accommodation areas are complemented by a range of dining, event and conference facilities. In addition, there are wellness and service areas integrated into the building’s layout.

Lobby, catering and events areas

The ground floor houses the lobby with a bar, the associated kitchen areas as well as a 400 m² ballroom. Commercial spaces for catering and shops were also created. Circulation and communal areas connect the various functions on this level.

The first floor comprises twelve conference rooms and an additional event hall. On the same level, there is also a restaurant covering an area of more than 700 m². A separate private dining area complements the catering facilities.

Wellness and inner courtyard as further communal areas

The hotel concept includes its own spa and wellness area. An inner courtyard adds a further communal area to the building’s public spaces. The associated open spaces have been integrated into the hotel’s overall layout.

Large-format windows and natural stone pilasters

The design of the street-facing façades is characterised by large-format window areas and natural stone pilasters. The window areas extend from the ground floor to the services floor. The natural stone pilasters complement the façade design of the eight-storey new building.

From detailed design to the Outdoor facilities

PORR was responsible for the complete detailed design and the turnkey construction of the hotel building. The scope of work included the shell, the finishing works and the building services. The completion of the Outdoor facilities was also part of the scope of work.

DGNB Gold certification

The building was constructed in accordance with the requirements for DGNB Gold certification. Upon completion, the hotel was certified accordingly. The certification is therefore a documented part of the completed project.

Hotel, dining and conference facilities under one roof

The Steigenberger Am Kanzleramt is an eight-storey, 4-star superior hotel in Berlin’s Lehrter district, featuring 339 rooms, including 26 suites. Twelve conference rooms, event spaces, restaurants as well as spa and wellness areas complement the accommodation facilities. PORR was responsible for the complete detailed design and turnkey construction, including building services as well as Outdoor facilities.
