ÖBA and PORR a.s. were jointly awarded the contract for the general overhaul between km 3.2 and km 11.9 of the carriageway heading towards Brno on the Czech motorway D2. This was a first for both companies: their first concrete slab construction site in the Czech Republic.

Services provided by ÖBA included the construction of the 90,000m2 concrete slab, including the exposed aggregate concrete structure and all the jointwork. Due to the very tight construction schedule, the works were carried out around the clock, seven days a week. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, the project was handed over to the client on time and with no defects. This was thanks in no small part to the team’s tireless dedication and great wealth of experience.
