Facade construction
Bank Burgenland Eisenstadt

Eisenstadt, Austria / 11.2019 - 10.2020

With its new headquarters in Eisenstadt, Bank Burgenland has made a clear commitment to Burgenland as a business location. In addition to the thermal refurbishment, an expansion of space and the renewal of the building services, the construction of a new and modern façade was at the centre of the general refurbishment of the building, which was constructed in 1980. The result is a modern, bright, light-flooded building with a focus on sustainability that meets the needs of employees and customers.

New face for Bank Burgenland

Special features and challenges

The façade erected when the building was constructed in 1980 was demolished and rebuilt using a completely new construction method.

The quality and dimensions of the uncovered shell were very poor. Accordingly, the façade design had to be based on the natural dimensions. When anchoring the façade elements, many details had to be developed with special static solutions.

Scope of services

A total of 2,000 m² of Alucobond louvre cladding, 1,700 m² of ribbon windows and 600 m² of mullion-transom façade were installed. In addition, 20 entrance elements and E130 interior doors were installed.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
