Statement des Joint Ventures zum Al Wakrah Stadion

Nachfolgend finden Sie ein englisches Statement des Joint Ventures zum Al Wakrah Stadion:

On Saturday 22 October, Anil Kumar Pasman, a 29-year-old Nepalese man, was fatally injured while working on Al Wakrah Stadium construction site - a proposed venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Emergency services responded immediately, however Mr. Pasman died at the scene. All site work was stopped to perform an investigation and establish the next steps. Following the investigation, we can confirm Mr. Pasman was struck by a Heavy Goods Vehicle. It is believed he was out of sight of the driver, who was tragically unaware of his colleague's close proximity.

The Joint Venture, as main contractor, is collectively responsible for the health and safety of the workers on site at all times. The Joint Venture has immediately reinforced the importance of health and safety on site and have implemented extended over-sight of their procedures to ensure this never happens again.

All of the partners involved in this project are devastated by such a tragic loss of life and we extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Pasman’s family. All obligations towards Mr. Pasman’s family will be taken care of, allowing the family to focus solely on grieving for the tragic loss of their loved one.
