Superstructure Design and Construction Preparation.
The Department of Construction Engineering includes the two special sections of Superstructure Design and Construction Preparation.
TWP creates structural engineering reports and structural reports for auxiliary construction measures. These design tasks are characterised by efficiency and modern design methods using BIM. Depending on the structure and its size, different experts from the fields of building construction, infrastructure construction as well as foundation engineering and soil mechanics can be used which proves our service offerings’ high levels of flexibility and adaptability. We furthermore achieve significant material and concrete quality savings for our clients whereby, in case of efficient dimensioning, one can indirectly save additional construction time.
Construction Preparation provides support with regard to construction management and cost estimation in all areas of construction preparation (construction time and resource planning, formwork design, equipment utilisation planning, site facilities...). By means of professional work preparation, its employees guarantee the project’s successful completion. The variety of projects they are working on provides the Construction Preparation section with a high level of know-how, knowledge that is passed on to further optimise construction processes in the future. On the one hand, the construction preparers influence the superstructure designers’ designs and, on the other hand, construction site organisation, whereby those employees themselves understand and, in parts, are familiar with tasks involving both design and execution.
