Repair of the concrete road surface of the A2 Wr. Neustadt–Grimmenstein

Between April 2016 and September 2017, both sides of the roadway of the 12.5 km long stretch of the A2 motorway between Wr. Neustadt and Grimmenstein were completely reconstructed. The services of ÖBA comprised 9,900 m of cross cuts in the 22 cm thick concrete slab, exchanging 15,000 m2 of concrete panels and producing 150,000 running metres of asphalt joints.

An open road despite major reconstruction.

The major challenge of this project was to allow traffic to continue during the works. It took an enormous amount of effort to coordinate the complex traffic phases. The ÖBA team mastered also this challenge, and carried out the project to the satisfaction of the customer.
